“The 4-Hour Body” by Timothy Ferriss.

This book is about Tim’s forays into better health. Overall, this book would really be pretty useless for about 99% of people.

There are some parts that have useful information about how to lose weight or become stronger, but most of it is just weird, random experiments that no one will try and are described in excruciating detail. Tim talks about every subject from strength training, to weight loss, to ultramarathons. I feel like this is part of the issue with the book: it’s so un-focused in its goal.

If you feel like you really want to read this book, focus on the first few chapters as it goes downhill quickly after that.

Nearly everyone would do better to remember this quote as opposed to try to follow Tim’s strange – and often expensive tips:

“If they would just do something most people would find that they get some version of the outcome they’re looking for. That’s been my secret. Stop wishing and start doing.”

Don’t waste your time reading this book.

Quotes:

“The future is already here – it is just unevenly distributed.” – William Gibson
