10 1/2 Things No Commencement Speaker Has Ever Said by Charles Wheelan.
4/5 rating.
Book #82 of 2019. Read June 13, 2019.

A short and fun little book that is based on Charles’s Commencement weekend speech to Dartmouth in 2011. As I finished this on my long roadtrip, I especially liked his advice to “Take time off” to travel and see the world. I would recommend any young person to read this book and maybe get a little perspective on what might help you in life along the long, winding road!
Quotes:
“[T]he only thing that really matters in life are your relationships to other people.”
“Yet we know that success is not about simply running faster than everyone else in some predetermined direction. It is about finding a passion, taking risks, running in new directions, and dealing with failure.”
“If you want to explore the world, you can make it happen. I didn’t say it was easy; I just said it was easier than you think.”
“It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.” – Theodore Roosevelt
