Black Hole Blues and Other Songs From Outer Space by Janna Levin.

3/5 rating.

Book #109 of 2019. Read September 13, 2019.

This book follows the path of the scientists in charge of creating the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) which in 2015 after a long and arduous fight for the project, successfully observed the gravitational waves from two black holes colliding. There were some very interesting parts, but the narrative of the struggles wasn’t incredibly riveting. If you’re a space-buff, it might be for you, if not, you probably can skip this book.
