On this whirlwind roadtrip lasting over 50 days, I was able to visit the beautiful capital of Canada: Ottawa. I didn’t really have any idea what to expect, but was completely blown away by the city. Every turn brought something new: great architecture, fantastic views, and all in as walkable a city as you could hope to find.

I got into town on Wednesday afternoon in time to grab lunch and one of the best gelatos I’ve ever had –certainly at least as good as any from Italy – at Stella Luna Gelato. I was able to get a good driving tour of the city before heading across into Quebec. I parked over near Lac Leamy and stayed the night there. In the morning, I walked over into Ottawa – a good ways, but nothing too strenuous.

I ended up walking over 17 miles in a little less than 48 hours exploring in and around Ottawa. While my feet were definitely feeling it, it was completely worth it to explore such an amazing city. After visiting, I would move there in a second – though might have to re-evaluate once the cold kicked in.
The best way to really show you about Ottawa is to share a ton of pics, so enjoy!
