This book talks about a myriad of ways to ensure your classroom is one filled with learning, respect, and discipline.

This book was pretty boring, though definitely important for teaching. Without discipline in a classroom, it is hard to get the actually important aspect of learning done. I do like a lot of the ideas in here as the key takeaways are that respect as a teacher is earned through the relationships built.

As Linda and Christopher say: “One of the best ways to keep hallways clear, referrals to the office down, and everyone on the right academic track is to make learning engaging. And the most effective way to accomplish this is to make it active, interactive, relevant, choiceful, and fun.”

If you are looking for a place to get ideas for better relationship-building, a more respectful class, and the places to go if discipline has to be used, this is a good place to start.
