Dream Work by Mary Oliver.
3/5 rating. 98 pages.
Book #63 of 2020. Read September 1, 2020.

This is another one of Mary’s books of nature poetry.
This book was fine, but I’ve read other books by Mary that really spoke to me; this one didn’t really do that as much.
A few of the parts I did especially like:
“I wanted
to hurry into the work of my life; I wanted to know,
whoever I was, I was
alive
for a little while.”
“Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
“For years and years I struggled
just to love my life.”
“and what we see is the world
that cannot cherish us
but which we cherish,”
