Money: they say it makes the world go ‘round. All of my childhood, and even through the first part of my college career, I believed this sentiment as much as anyone. Why else would I have spent every waking hour working on my double-major of mechanical engineering and business administration?

I knew that I wanted a house that was gigantic, and had been dreaming up additions to it for as long as I could remember. These ranged from the mundane: such as a vast library, and large kitchen with an island with burners set in; to the downright insane, with a “tree of life” in the center foyer and a stream running down it for my pet otters (definitely the best animal) to swim in. The thing is, that as I matured, I realized that money, while important is not nearly as vital to me as it once was.

I have been working as a buyer for a large car manufacturing company for a short while. The work is interesting, the pay is good, and life overall is rather enjoyable. But I have other eventual dreams. That is where this blog comes in. Travel is, and I as I think back, always has been, my burning passion. My lifelong dream has been to be able to afford to travel full-time. I hope that by starting this blog, and my project that I will release as an affiliate to this blog, I will be able to do just that.
While travel is amazing, the experience is one that far too few people are truly able to have. This is where y’all will hopefully be able to gain something from reading my stories. I will effectively use this as my travel journal for all of my experiences. By doing this, I hope to allow you to not only be entertained, but hopefully driven to take your own trips. Maybe you will even learn something new.

This may be a strange place to start the journey of my blog, but I think that beginning at the present will afford all of you to see where I am at, and see exactly where I have been. As you go on this journey with me, I hope to continue to show, and let you know more about me. So with that, thank you for your interest, and let’s start on a journey together. I hope you enjoy your Adventures with Alex.
